Ara Pyau – O grito da Terra integra o ecossistema de seres híbridos que Vitória Vatroi vem fabulado no avesso da Terra, território simbólico onde barro, memória e ancestralidade borram as fronteiras entre corpo, memória e matéria. A obra instaura uma presença: um organismo que faz emergir a Terra como sujeito sensível, deslocando as ontologias coloniais que a reduziram à condição de recurso. Inspirada na ideia guarani de Ara Pyau — um tempo novo —, a escultura imagina outras formas de coexistência entre humanos e pluridiversidade da vida, compreendendo a fabulação como prática de regeneração simbólica e como gesto de reinvenção dos imaginários que sustentam a vida.
Ara Pyau – O grito da Terra is part of the ecosystem of hybrid beings that Vitória Vatroi has been fabulating on the underside of the Earth, a symbolic territory where clay, memory, and ancestry blur the boundaries between body, memory, and matter. The work establishes a presence: an organism that brings the Earth forth as a sentient subject, displacing the colonial ontologies that reduced it to the condition of resource. Inspired by the Guarani idea of Ara Pyau (a new time), the sculpture imagines other forms of coexistence between humans and the pluridiversity of life, understanding fabulation as a practice of symbolic regeneration and as a gesture of reinventing the imaginaries that sustain life.
