Brazilian Woman: An Incomplete Archive (2026) is an encyclopedia in progress that brings together a selection of Brazilian women as a response to the exoticization and hypersexualization historically imposed on the Brazilian female body. Starting from Anne McClintock's concept of ethnopornography, the work investigates how Eurocentric thought turned women from colonized cultures into objects of desire and visual consumption, reducing their identities to the body. In dialogue with the thought of Nêgo Bispo and his Five Skins, the book proposes a reclassification of these narratives by highlighting women who transformed science, politics, sports, the arts, and social movements. Written in English, the publication seeks to broaden the foreign gaze on Brazilian women beyond stereotypes, recognizing the multiplicity of histories that constitute their identity.
