The work "In Us, Something of Others" is part of a larger body of research developed in 2025 and consists of drawings and collages that bring human experience closer to the experience of other beings. The work uses images of gourds, starfish, ants, avocado trees and other beings to show how human experience is accompanied by the ways these other life forms exist in the same world as ours, and it further proposes that we can learn strategies of existence from these beings. The title alludes to the idea that we are only able to exist because, within us, we share something in common with other forms of life.
