The red textile cross evokes the pain of femicide victims and their families. This pain spreads outward to children, mothers and friends, in lives broken apart by domestic violence. The work asks why we are still a misogynistic and sexist society and points to how this pattern repeats itself in everyday life: in the way we raise our children, in harmful games, in phrases like "boys' stuff" and "girls' stuff." How many more lives until the muffled scream is heard? It is a call for changed attitudes and for public policies that support victims and give them the chance to start over.
