Através de uma composição carregada de materiais, figuras e colagens, MAIS UMA PELE narra uma história sobrenatural que faz da onça, mãe protetora de uma indiazinha que é vendida por sua família a exploradores estrangeiros.
Cecifrance Aquino’s practice addresses issues such as the extermination of an Indigenous SKIN, the erasure of a cultural worldview, and the processes of disappearance, while at the same time allowing the lightness of the enchanted spirits of our forest to flow through. Through a composition rich in materials, figures, and collages, MAIS UMA PELE tells a supernatural story in which the jaguar becomes the protective mother of a young Indigenous girl who is sold by her family to foreign explorers.
