Manta Sagrada Ubuntu (2023) is a wearable textile sculpture that transforms discarded fabrics into a territory of power, care and ancestral reclamation. Born from the affective memory of handmade sewing as a means of survival for the artist's family, the work stitches discarded scraps onto a 4.35-meter synthetic base. It embodies the philosophical premise "I am who I am because we are" and rekindles the greatness that exists in marginalized bodies. Bringing together the epidermis, clothing and the collective network, the mantle transcends matter to rise as a ritual object and a political manifesto of resistance and re-existence from Brazil's peripheries.
