Os Porões da Modernidade reproduz a reinvenção dos Porões, seja em Navios Coloniais ou em Naves da Modernidade, onde se mantêm a concepção de dois mundos em contraste que, inicialmente, polarizava-se entre a Casa Grande versus Sensala, que a modernidade transforma nas Cidades versus Favela, depois, Condomínios Fechados versus Alfavilles e hoje nos Bankers contra tudo.
Os Porões da Modernidade reenacts the reinvention of the Porões—whether in Colonial Ships or in the Vessels of Modernity—where the conception of two contrasting worlds is preserved. Initially, this divide was polarized between the Casa Grande and the Senzala; modernity transforms it into Cities versus Favelas, then Gated Communities versus Alfavilles, and today, into Bankers versus everything else.
