O trabalho se relaciona com a ideia de tempo como elemento fundamental para a construção da intimidade. Assim como não existe transparência absoluta entre sujeitos, também não há acesso imediato ao outro. Exige duração, convivência e negociação. Ao mesmo tempo, o trabalho fala de cumplicidade, da amizade entre mulheres negras e das formas de sustento mútuo construídas na partilha, na escuta e na permanência. o patuá é mais que objeto de proteção. E a proteção é coletiva.
The work relates to the idea of time as a fundamental element in the building of intimacy. Just as there is no absolute transparency between subjects, there is also no immediate access to the other. It requires duration, shared life, and negotiation. At the same time, the work speaks of complicity, of friendship between Black women, and of the forms of mutual sustenance built through sharing, listening, and staying. The patuá is more than an object of protection. And protection is collective.
