A pintura nasce do encontro com o território mato-grossense profundo, onde carrancas e outros símbolos de proteção atravessam o cotidiano como presenças vivas tradicionalmente ligadas à guarda e à travessia, essa figura é aqui ressignificada como amuleto contemporâneo, carregando sentidos de permanência, resistência e pertencimento.
The painting emerges from an encounter with the deep territory of Mato Grosso, where carrancas and other symbols of protection permeate everyday life as living presences. Traditionally associated with guardianship and safe passage, the carranca is reimagined here as a contemporary amulet, carrying meanings of permanence, resistance, and belonging.
